Measuring Ring SIze

 

The best way to measure ring size is go to a jewelry store and request a fitting.  But if you want  to do it yourself, perhaps to preserve the element of surprise, here is how to do it.

Measuring Ring Size

 

Step 1: Take a piece of string or yarn and wrap it around the intended finger.

 

Step 2: Using a pen or marker, mark the point where the string overlaps.

 

Step 3: Measure the length of the string using a ruler. Measure from the end of the string to the pen mark.

 

Step 4: Use the chart to determine the ring size. If the measurement falls in between sizes, go with the larger size.

Try asking a friend or family member if they know the ring size.  If this does not work, get a hold of the person's and follow these easy steps:

 

Step 1: Select a ring that fits the intended finger.

 

Step 2: Place the ring on a piece of paper and trace the inside perimeter.

 

Step 3: Take a piece of string and lay it on the circle. Using a pen, mark the point where the string overlaps.

 

Step 4: Measure the length of the string using a ruler. Measure from the end of the string to the pen mark.
